I have definitely saved the best for last in regards to these three.
Shockwave is everything I had hoped for from this line. He looks great, he’s poseable, and his transformation is simple, but satisfying.
His robot mode is faithful to his game model except, like Jazz, his legs are lacking in mass due to the way he transforms. His legs are decidedly his weakest feature. He has basically no ankle joint, so posing him is frustrating. His wrists are also kind of loose, and his head can only turn due to his auto-transform. Otherwise he is solid. I love the fact that they included the “hands fold in and weapon attachees to wrist” functionality.
Vehicle mode is good. It’s not 100% game accurate, but I’m willing to forgive it because making jet modes is hard. I wish his thurster was rounder and silver. As is it just looks like a black knob. Still, he makes a better space-jet than Voyager Prime Megatron.
His transformation is unique, in that his weapon detaches and becomes part of him. He basically wears his upper chest as a backpack and stores the weapon between his legs, while his arms fold up to become the thrusters. I have definitely saved the best for last in regards to these three.
